Pia and Wild Nature, is a German TV program, dedicated to environmental education for children between 4 and 10 years of age. Traveling through various parts of the world, Pia shows the importance of nature and the wildlife that exists in it. The Amazon was their next target to show so Peru was their ideal choice and to achieve their goal the producer contacted us since August to help them with the logistics for this production.
After coordinations with SERNANP, and other key actors in the region, an itinerary could be made so that the production team and Pia can show the Amazon and the diverse flora and fauna of Tambopata, in the Madre de Dios region, in record time.
After an arduous work of almost 7 days in the Tambopata National Reserve and its buffer zone, the production team and Pía returned to Puerto Maldonado, where the program was continued with a full day of filming at Amazon Shelter, where it was possible to give the facilities so that Pia can show closely the rehabilitation work of the howler monkeys and the importance of their conservation. Then the crew and our fixer headed to Taricaya Eco Reserve to film for up to 5 days. There, Fernando Rosemberg, director of the center and his specialists were able to show the work of reintroducing Taricaya turtles (Podocnemis unifilis) and the monitoring they carry out on groups of primates that have been reintroduced within the reserve.
A production with shots from the trails, on canopy towers, traveling the river by boat, with sun and rain, including a cold front, all this was possible thanks to all the facilities that the rescue centers and their teams of professionals and volunteers provided so that Pia can show this part of the Amazon and its wildlife to the new generations in Germany. Vielen Dank!!!
